Great place to take the family. Clean facilities and decent food. Don't visit the monkeys before eating unless you want to lose your appetite by watching them eat their own feces. Or do if your on a diet and need a little appetite suppression. All around great time !

For being there during a busy time during the eclipse it was actually very warm and inviting the prices were fantastic and definitely not overpriced. I'm from Wisconsin and the biggest one that I've seen is in Milwaukee. Suit to see This Magnificent display of the animal kingdom was amazing and the work that they put into their habitats was phenomenal. If it Wasn't So Far Away I would definitely go again.

Best zoo on the planet. Period. And if you live in the Midwest its in your backyard. World class exhibits. If its your first time, bring good shoes, as the size of the zoo is enormous. Its also quite hilly in places. If mobility is an issue, the zoo has scooters and wheelchairs to make a trip easier. If you miss the Scott aquarium, you've committed a crime.

This is by far one of the best zoos in the country. There is so much to do and see here. The diversity of the animals kept here is amazing, from the aquarium to the center of the zoo where the larger animals are, to the large desert dome. We spent 2.5 hours there wandering around, and I feel like we didn't even see all of it. There's plenty of places to eat throughout the zoo, a little on the pricey side. The indoor exhibits were among the best of what was there. I would definitely recommend going in the summer months, as some of the animals are moved during the colder months.

Costly, but worth it for me. Alone/group, long walk/just stuff near the door, family with toddler/senior, I don't think anybody would be disappointed. Educational. Beautiful. Peaceful. Exciting. And home in time for dinner. Why not?
