Scheduled as the first appointment of the day to ensure an on time arrival of the plumber. He showed up 40 minutes late. When I called Backlund to inquire, they told me they could track him. He was at the gas station filling his truck with gas. He then could not find my house. He told me I was lucky he showed up. Cheryl and Lesley at the office were full of excuses. 8 am is 8 am; it does not mean you leave your house to start your work day at 8 am, stop for gas, coffee and donuts. Very unprofessional from the plumber to the office employees. Still waiting for the owner to acknowledge my call. Never once heard "I'm sorry, we made a mistake", only excuses.
Woke up to NO hot water on my first day back to work!! Called Backlund Plumbing told them what I thought the problem was (gas control valve) for which they quoted me $195 for the part outrageous since it cost $35 new! Did a little more research - changed my diagnosis to thermocouple, but could not find a price for it on line. Tech (Dan) confirmed my suspicions and replaced the thermo-couple, charged me $20 for the part, their "standard fee" of $95/hour. TOTALLY EXCELLENT work.

First time using a plumber since I moved to Omaha, got me in within a week for a basic faucet replacement for a mother's day gift. Plumber called 15 minutes before he was going to arrive so I could make it to her home, took less than an hour for him to remove the old one (with a saw), install the new one, and check to see if the old faucet was the cause of the under sink leak.
Great customer service! We've had Backlund out for over 13 hours, so needless to say we've gotten to know a lot of the Backlund team. They all have a great sense of humor and are wonderful to work with. I can now say that our our newly purchased house is free of plumbing problems!
Everything works and looks great! For a call out I thought it would be much more expensive and the plumber was very knowledgeable and pointed out a few things under sink to look out for in the future. I would gladly recommend Backlund to anyone who asks.
Came fixed the leak, put in new faucet and fixed another little problem. All fast and less than I was expecting. And he was very friendly!!
Oops! Found out later that the thermocouple cost $7.00!! Still a lot better than paying $195 for a part that I didn't need, but darn the mark up bandits!! Why does it have to be 3X or more than the actual cost?? BTW, they do HONOR the MILITARY.
