King Kong is just always the best! Wish there was one in Alabama where I live! I wait all year for the perfect King Kong gyro!
I usually like their steaks but today decided to get a burger as did my husband. $35 for 2 burgers and fries? 2 steak meals with fries doesn't even cost that much. They were good but not $35 good. The prices definitely take away a couple of stars.
Wow! The burgers are GIANT. You can see the grill from the register, and they are incredibly huge. We opted for the dinners though. I got the chicken gyro plate. It comes with a choice of 2 of Greek salad, fries, or potatoes over rice for 11.49. I got the salad & fries but hubs got the potatoes, as do most of the regulars. An interesting stew type of potato in a red chili sauce.
Awesome burgers and gyros with friendly service. The steaks are good to! You definitely get what you pay for. Portions are very generous.
My gyro was enormous, and unlike some places, almost all chicken. It was packed with more chicken than I could ever eat. Hubs got the sirloin steak-plate Sunday special for 9.99. The steak was thin, but cooked to perfection with a large Greek salad and the above-mentioned potatoes. Just huge amounts of great tasting food! And FAST!! Like fast-food fast.
This place is across from the zoo, but I would recommend going after when you've worked up an appetite.
This was our first time at King Kong. We didn't know what to expect, but the parking lot and drive through were both full, which is always a good sign!

Large portion of flavorless meat onion and bellpepper on a half soft half hard bun. Cheese doesn't taste like cheese, in my opinion that is. There was so little l, might just didn't have enough to taste. Had to add steal sauce just to get a flavor.
