This is part one off my review: if I could give zero stars I would. This company, in its initial sales call, was great. Ted said everything right. He assured us our furniture would be wrapped accordingly and our mattresses would be wrapped AND boxed the day of the move. We made sure the movers had easy access throughout the house. It was going to be a hot day and made sure they had what they needed to stay hydrated and stay on task. The boxes (ALL of them) were all on the first floor. We thought, "this should take no more than 3 hours." WRONG We were told the day before by those who were packing 3 boxes due to their weird sizes that the moving guys would be coming in with material to wrap up the head boards/foot boards the next day during the load-up. The night we received a call from Yvette indicating the WRONG time/info and that put me in a tailspin (they wait to call you right before 5 when the phones turn off and then when you call them back, the phone just rings and rings). Then when the guys did show up in the morning, they broke my neighbor's mailbox because the driver had no idea how to back into a circle. He then tried to blame the mailbox, indicating it was already broke. What?! They then spent the next hour and half complaining that the people who came to pack up our weird-sized pics/mirrors should have wrapped the beds and mattresses. Guess what? They showed up with NO MATERIAL. NO wrapping, no moving blankets...NOTHING. They hauled our bedroom furniture and other pieces into the truck with no safeguarding or wrapping. They put bits of cardboard in between each piece and then told me they would make sure it gets taken care of during the storage process --- at that point my hands were tied. I was just happy that we got the el primo insurance! Moving across country for a job is extremely stressful. The sole purpose of a moving company is to provide service and make sure the stress doesn't happen. They have provided NONE of that. We have worked with three people so far in their "Customer Service" - two are no longer there. We started working with them less than two months ago. This is a red flag. We have called to explain our situation and worry; with no one caring or providing key details of our household items. Also, they say they take food to the food bank for you: this is A LIE. The movers who moved our house had no idea what I was talking about. I guarantee you my food didn't go there since the lead person said "I don't know who to give this to in the office, but I'm sure someone will take it if I leave it all in a break room or something." I will update this post with our goods our delivered. At this point, I can't worry about it since it's done and I can't control what our stuff is going to look like when it's delivered.

despite the negative reviews, they were the cheapest so we opted to enlist them for our 17hr move. seriously, avoid them, the awful reviews are extremely accurate. delayed 1 week past the "guaranteed" window. we booked 3.5 months in advance as June is the busy season. they had no driver or pick up date reserved on their end (despite promising this in advance). the original plan of pick up and drop off changed the week of pick up (only knew they had to come because i called to confirm), then changed to "your items will be stored in our yard then warehouse once there's room). they do not return emails/calls, they lost 1/3rd of our stuff when they finally came. since that day they have stopped correspondences. we were told to call back for a manager (Randy Lowry), who then proceeded to berate me about how much trouble i've caused and time wasted (again this was the day we discovered over 1000lbs of our goods are missing and no one will give us any answers). he informed me to get a lawyer he was calling the police as i was harassing them. he "wished he had as much free time as i had to bother people and would only be giving me the 30 seconds of his time that I deserved. (this is verbatim our conversation, for what it's worth I had booked the day off work as I was expecting my stuff delivered... all my stuff). to even get on the phone with him (he would never return our calls) we said we would hold on the line, it took an hour so we called back, the move coordinator had left for the day (after just leaving us on hold). there are many reviews pointing to intimidation, apathy and similar threats when things go missing. so far our claim is at 11,000$ in missing items not including the damaged ones that were delivered (boxes were all bent and mashed so i was not surprised by the damage). They made a huge gouge on the hardwood floors at our origin location. They dragged couches. they double billed me. they also have very sloppy records of your items, making the claim process a nightmare. we have more boxes than documented on the inventory list but are still missing 10-12 boxes of items. after over 1 month I still am missing 1/3rd of my belongings (a lot of the delivered items are useless as the remaining components are missing ie foot/side boards to beds), we have no additional information and i have a house that is half full with no clear timeline if i should refurnish it or continue waiting. so far they offered 91$ for my trouble (my long distance bill is greater than that). if you hire them make sure you document every single item and have receipts for EVERY single piece of property. there is a review that says, "it would be less hassle to burn your items in a field than use these guys". I would have to agree.

Don't waste your time and money.

We move a lot of people with our company and I am telling my colleagues to use someone else or demand someone different to unload them in Omaha. Really disappointed with their customer service.

2. They unloaded us on a Friday night. They wanted to get home and it was 6pm. I was trying to be nice, and they PROMISED they would come back the next morning bright and early to finish it up, including putting together beds. They never showed up or called. We moved stuff around and put stuff together on our own for two days, and then finally on Sunday at 3pm the guys come sauntering up to finish the job. TWO DAYS LATER. I couldn't get hold of anyone at Coleman or our move coordinator all weekend, though I called probably 30 times to each place.

Lots of damage and broken items. Will I file a claim? No. Why? Because I am unlikely to see anything positive happen. Some of the items were antiques and one of a kind southwestern pots. How do you put a value on these things when there is no reference for the cost in today's market. I asked if they should be packed in a crate and was told no. Ha! Too bad for me. The whole experience was a joke from the "coordination" of the move to the arrival of two small trucks to move us instead of a van.

Two major issues with these guys. 1. They dinged up my brand new refinished floors in multiple places--large gouges. I called our moving coordinator and left a message on the weekend, no response. Put it on our claim form. Have multiple photos that are date stamped with an iphone, and they REFUSED the claim saying that I didn't tell them about it that day. When I did leave a message about it. I didn't email about it so I have no proof according to them and have damaged floors that were refinished just days prior to them moving us in.

They also broke a few antiques and refused to pay for damage without a professional appraisal, which when I called around cost $200-300, and even then there was no promise it would be paid. They only offered to "fix" them with their furniture repair guy or (give us that cost back so we could theoretically find someone else, but no one else would touch my antiques for those prices) who has bad reviews.

Initial pickup of my furniture was handled well and efficiently and then the problems started. They transferred my furniture from one truck to another which likely led to the damage to my belongings. Then delivering to Chicago, they sent a driver only to deliver furniture from a 4 bedroom house and hired one helper in Chicago area that was only willing to work for 3 hours. We had damage to several large pieces of furniture including breaking the leg off a night stand, and ripping a hose out of washer. Then the parent company Allied processes our claim and says "Oh you declined insurance so you only get 60 cents per pound of the damaged goods" so on a $3500 move where we had several things damaged, we get $260 back. You would think that a large company that advertises international moves would at least step up and fix the mistakes they make. And the great thing about the insurance is that if we would have taken the insurance, we would have had at least a $250 deductible and then the move would have been more costly with the insurance so we would have paid the deductible and gotten nothing anyway. Congratulations Allied, you will never get business from me again. Not recommended, ever!!
