If you’re visiting Omaha be sure to take a stop at the Pedestrian Bridge. It is a mile long and connects Omaha and council bluffs. Good place to take a bike ride, jog, or just casually walk with friends. Open all day and night so there is plenty of time too fit a short trip into a busy day. One of my personal favorites in Omaha.
This is a great place to get exercise it connects Omaha Nebraska to Council bluffs Iowa the Omaha side is located near a couple nice parks and the old market and bike trails the Iowa side has a concert area and bike trails and is currently working on some new buildings not sure what they will be when they are finished looks like possibly shopping
A good place to take a walk with a date or group of friends. Has a bike rental spot though I recommend you bring your own. At the time of this review, there was construction going on in the area so it doesn't look as well on the area's beauty.
Scenic and architecturally stunning pedestrian bridge that snakes out over the Missouri River, with the Nebraska/Iowa State line in the middle. Small parking lots on both sides with paths connecting Council Bluffs and downtown Omaha. It can be closed due to inclement weather and is windy and bitterly cold over the river at times, but well worth the walk out to the state line.
By far the best pedestrian bridge in the US, if not the world. The whole river front area is very pleasant, and the bridge is beautiful. We had fun reading the signs and taking pictures in two states. We even took our picture to the visitors bureau to get a sticker. Highly recommend, would walk again.
